Mission Statement

Being all we can be in Christ Jesus, in order to enhance the lives of others, through the Word of God, led by the Spirit of God, expecting nothing in return, all to the glory of God!

CORE VALUES

Bible-Centered Preaching & Teaching- We believe that God's Word must be communicated with relevancy, urgency and intentionally to help people know and grow toward spiritual maturity.  This practice should result in Christian living, healthy relationships, and strong biblical values on life. (2Timothy 4:2, 2Timothy 3:16-17, Galatians 6:6)

Evangelism and Outreach- We believe in The Great Commission which exhorts us to reach our families, community, nation, and the world for Christ through intentional evangelism, mission, friendship invitation and service-oriented ministries. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:40-41)

Commitment To Prayer- We believe that it happens after prayer because regular communication with God helps individuals stay focused on God's will and plans for our lives. (1Thessalonians 5:17, 2Timothy 2:1-8)

Godly Servant Leadership-We believe that a Godly church can rise no higher than its leadership.  It will be SMBC's goal to have Godly men and women who posses servant leadership characteristics and can lead with Godly wisdom, character, biblical interpersonal skills, integrity, productivity, accountability and promote unity and biblical moral values. (Titus 1:5-9, 1Timothy 3:1-13, 1Peter 5:1-4)

Worship- We believe that worship is a continuous lifestyle that reflects God's presence through spirit of celebration, reflection and praise through coming together or individually. (Romans 12:1, John 4:23, Psalms 100)

Spiritual Gifts- We believe each saint has been uniquely blessed with spiritual gift(s) that God wants to use for His glory.  We believe in recognizing, encouraging, and mobilizing the saints to use their spiritual gift(s) with creativity, quality, and excellence to God's glory. (Romans 12:4-8, 1Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:11-16)

Building The Family- We are committed to building and strengthening families, marriages, children and youth through strong discipleship ministries.  (Genesis 2:18-24, Matthew 19:6, Colossians 3:17-21, 1Peter 3:1, Pro.22:6)
